Abstract
The enjoyable movement of transitioning from preschool to primary school involves transferring children's roles as learners from preschool to primary school. It helps children to adjust to a new learning environment, ensuring they achieve the right to education according to school readiness conditions. This condition requires early identification of children's needs to help fulfill their readiness to learn. At the end of the foundation phase, the school plays a very important role in helping the child cope with the change from the early childhood education learning model to the phase A learning mode. Adapting to school involves learning independence, cognitive maturity, and a different learning model. Therefore, a pre-assessment is necessary to help identify learning needs This study aims to investigate effective strategies for supporting preschool children's transition to primary school. Implementing pre-assessment requires a specific strategy that is comfortable for teachers and appropriate for children. This research method is a literacy study where the modules of the preschool to primary school transition guide that have been prepared by the Ministry of Education and Culture are reviewed. This research aims to provide school principals with a literacy presentation on effective early assessment strategies during the transition from preschool to primary school. The presentation will serve as a reference for principals to implement appropriate management of early assessment strategies in their respective institutions.
