Abstract
The 21st century learning paradigm has become a vision that needs to be implemented in order to minimize learning problems, especially that of Junior High School levels. One of the attempts which has been carried out is by developing multimedia-based electronic learning model. This feasibility study seeks to define the levels of feasibility and learning model illustrations which need to be developed. The research uses descriptive qualitative method. The data are obtained through questionnaires and focus group discussion. The results are that there are problems in the learning in junior high school levels, such as students’ level of mastery which is a result from inefficient use of applied learning method. Moreover, the low use of learning facilities, like learning media and tools which are ideally applied. After conducting a focus group discussion, the researcher found out a learning model which fosters active learning through thematic and integrated in a game format or using markerless augmented reality (AR) multimedia or even hypermedia learning is feasible for development and is necessary for learning in junior high school. The researcher highly recommends all stakeholders to further analyze for issues necessary for active learning development by making use of the thematic integrated multimedia/ hypermedia.
