Transformation of Education: Educator and Technology in Era Socie-ty 5.0

Abstract

This paper is a review of the author's description of educators and technological advances in the era of society 5.0.  which most of the Indonesian population is dominated by millennials. Millennials are the generation born from 1965 to 2012. That generation is the generation that must be prepared to be qualified educators who can answer the challenges of the 21st century in accordance with the demands of the Times. The values found in the millennial generation such as being active in social media, cooperation, building relationships , creativity, flexibility and digital literacy are expected to support the education system in the era of society 5.0. Educators in the era of Society 5.0 are educators who like experimental learning, namely trial and error learning, reducing conventional methods in the classroom, and having a method of thinking out of the box. In the era of society 5.0, a wide flow of information can support the educational process such as utilizing artificial intelligence-based technology in learning, increasing digital literacy to filter unlimited information, and creating a learning innovation in the classroom. Therefore, this study tries to describe educators in the era of society, artificial intelligence technology, criteria for educators in the era of society 5.0 and the challenges of educators in the era of society 5.0. This study uses a qualitative approach and descriptive methods. Data collection techniques using literature review.
